school teacher
I was a salesperson for ten years before retraining to become a school teacher.
I was assigned to special education during my first year, and I have now been working with students with disabilities for nine years.
I have worked in various medical-social establishments (ITEP, IMPRO, SEM) but also in ULIS schools, ULIS colleges and SEGPA.
I quickly understood that to interest my students and make them want to learn, I had to create my own educational materials.
Today there is no textbook for students with special needs. It is difficult and inconceivable to put a teenager in front of a reading lesson with a preparatory class textbook.
It is important to adapt the materials to each situation so that the student finds an interest in the learning.
The materials created over the years can also help students who do not necessarily have access to a device.
I trained in my own time in various training courses on DYS, behavioral disorders, adaptation tools, memory, etc.
