Every learner has their own strengths, barriers and pace. To adapt an activity, teachers first need to identify what makes it difficult for the learner to engage with the task: reading, attention, comprehension, motor skills, memory, organisation or confidence.
Adapt from the real need
Two learners may need different supports for the same skill. One may need a shorter instruction, another a visual example, extra time or an activity broken down into steps.
